Hi all,

If I put the SSD in harddisk bay it can boot normally, however if I move it to Optical bay with or without HDD in the HDD bay, the MBP 13 2012 cannot boot. If I press and hold option, there'll be only one Stop sign and then blank screen.
Do you guys have a solution?

That's the way it is. I ran into the same issue when I tried to install an SSD in the optical bay of my 13" MBP. It has to be in the main bay or it won't boot.

Why not just put the SSD in the main? Why does it need to be opposite?

My experience is that only a few SSD's work reliably in the optical bay. I tried a setup with a Samsung 830 SSD in the optical bay and it wouldn't boot. Since then I've used Crucial M4s (update to latest firmware), and those have worked without a hitch.
