Hi I have just been given a NAS box by my brother and I can't seem to get it to work on my Mac Mini I can see the NAS box and there is a Volume 1 folder which I need to put the folders in but when going through the finder and I double click on the folder I get the following message The operation can’t be completed because the original item for “Volume_1” can’t be found.

Not sure where to go from here any help would be great.

What is the NAS, specifically? How are you connecting (AFP/SMB)? Are there users set up on the NAS? Is the NAS's firmware up-to-date?

Just an update all sorted now I had to select the option on my NAS setting to AFP so all good mods you can close if you want.
