Today I was given this iPod classic to work on. It keeps rebooting and saying restore by connecting to iTunes. I plug into a MBA that i am also working on and it is not being recognized by iTunes. What was weird though I plugged it into my car that has a USB port and it started playing songs. So how do I get it past this display? what is wrong with it.

I figured it out it was stuck in recovery mode....
So I am copying all the data all 22gb of it and restoring it and resyncing the songs. I hope it works. Windows saw it as an external hard drive I could not get it come up on my Mac.
