You used to be able to delete a status update from Facebook by swiping across it and hitting the red "delete" button that showed up when you performed the swipe gesture.. Now you can't. Of course, if you're reading this, you probably know that already.
What you have to do is tap a little arrow on the top right corner of what you want to delete, then hit the red "delete" button that shows up in the menu. Poor UI design? Maybe, considering the arrow is probably the last thing the typical user thinks to touch. For this reason, Facebook should probably move the "delete" button next to the "Like," "Comment," and "Share" buttons.
