I've got $10 that says Tablets are far more likely to be around in five years than Blackberry, the company, in any way shape or form.

CEOs pretty much have to paint the most positive, upbeat view of their company's prospects when making public statements. But this one seems to reach a new high for sheer head-in-the-sand willful blindness.

"Tech CEOs say the darndest things"

There they go again. Seems being the CEO at a technology company invariably involves hitting the stump and doing what George H.W. Bush (father, not the son) once famously called "the vision thing." So it was that earlier today Blackberry CEO Thorstein Hein made headlines when he predicted that the clock was ticking on the future of tablet computers.

Take the poll - will you buy a Tablet in another 5 years?

The only thing I can see that will kill the tablet are fold/roll up display technologies that allow 8-10" viewing areas on pocket size devices.

People by in large are not going to reverse course and swap their tablets for notebook computers.
