While websites and developers have been seeing low levels of hits from iOS 7 devices for several months, as of last week we noticed a significant surge in such hits in our own logs. The hits come from Apple's block of IP addresses, suggesting that the company may have rolled out a new phase of testing with its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) just a month away.

iOS 7 web traffic at macrumors.com coming from Apple
MacRumors is not the only site seeing significant increases in iOS 7 activity, as TechCrunch reports that mobile publishing company Onswipe has seen a similar spike coming from San Francisco and Cupertino.
Over the past week, Onswipe found a significant bump in the number of visits from iOS 7 iPhones and iPads, specifically located in both Cupertino and San Francisco. SF had the most iOS 7 visits, with 18.75 percent, and Cupertino accounted for 17.9 percent of the total. May 2 saw the highest iOS 7 traffic to date, representing 23 percent, or nearly a quarter, of all unique iOS visitors to Onswipe-enabled sites. Most were visiting from iPhones (75 percent), but iPads also represented a full quarter of visits.
Apple is expected to show off iOS 7, as well as OS X 10.9, at next month's WWDC, but a public release of iOS 7 is not expected until later in the year alongside new iPhone hardware.

We have not seen a similar spike in OS X 10.9 traffic coming from Apple in recent weeks, although that traffic has been slowly growing for a number of months now.

And after the iOS rundown, Tim Cook will come out and say it was all developed on the brand new Mac Pro were introducing today, wild cheers will roar.

In several moments Samsung paid trolls will be posting all over this site how this as yet unreleased OS and the new hardware that it will run on aren't innovative any more, or meant for your mother, or not cool...

by end of year...

With the amount of developers that Ive has speculated to be taking up at apple to work on ios 7 I wouldn't be surprised if we saw something earlier than the usual.

"Apple has moved engineers from OS X to work on iOS 7 because it is behind schedule"

"Hey iOS 7 will be early because Apple has more engineers working on it!"

Suddenly someone with a new account or an account from few years ago which never posted will come out and say how un-innovative and doomed and arrogant and closed and no-widgets Apple is, and how did he jump ship to the [brand] [full product name] and with the [full feature name], he is never going back to iOS. And the reason why s/he still cares so much to post flames in MacRumors is that despite his hate for Apple he ironically uses the newest MacBook Pro.

They may be coming from SF and Cupertino, but I bet these devices are being used elsewhere. The phones are probably connected over VPN so no web traffic logs will pick up locations where the phones are actually being used.

For all I know the guy sitting next to me has iOS 7

That's so funny how they will visit a site like this to tease us. If iOS 7 is half what the rumors say it will be I think it will be great.

Samsung is throwing so much **** at the wall in their phone with the hopes that something will stick except many features are half baked and rushed. Apple will probably include some of these features. They have been working on them as well but, instead of rushing to the market, they have been testing them and will come out fully functional. Unfortunately, since Samsung has thrown everything including the kitchen sink into their phones, people will declare Apple is copying the competition.

It is the secret that Apple wants to tell us! Read the graph! iOS 7 looks like quite flat at first, but more round towards the end of the graph!
