No there is not. I remember reading somewhere that T-Mobile said it would be an app that they put in the app store. But again I'm not sure about the app thing. I just no that currently Wifi calling is a no go.

I guess the bigger question is, if it's pre-paid, is it 100 minutes PER MONTH, or is it more "You have 100 minutes, when your minutes are up, you have to buy another $30."
Otherwise I don't understand pre-pay. Most PP things I've done were on Boost which consisted of you buying airtime, minimum of $10. This would get you 100 minutes and the time would expire after 3 months, but if you purchase another $10 before the 3 month window is up, all your minutes roll over.
I hope they do come with something would be nice to make calls using wifi showing my phone number.
Well you have 2 options once the 100 minutes runs out.
- You can either pay another $30 and have the billing cycle immediately restart. This will reset your data and the 100 minutes
- Or you can just pay $.10 per minute over the 100 minutes that you use until you reach the end of the billing cycle. Since it's prepaid you will have to pay for these additional minutes in advance.

So far I am loving the $30 plan. I mostly use the data and text so it works out for me. To conserve the 100 minutes for incoming calls, I use vonage mobile app for outgoing calls using cell data/wifi and it is 100% free. It works perfectly with Tmobile's 4g data. I can make unlimited calls to any phone number in the USA. Another thing about vonage mobile is it spoofs the caller id using your mobile number. You just have to confirm that you own the number by text or phone call when you first use the vonage app. I hope the free unlimited USA calls is permanent.
note: I noticed in some forums saying its not unlimited but its 3000 mins. To me, its unlimited as I never talk over 3000 mins a month.

So with vonage I can make calls with vonage but it will show my cell phone number?
How does incoming calls work? Do u get a specific vonage phone number? I can manage when people call just let it go to vm then just call them back with vonage as long as it shows my cell #.
As I said before, it spoofs the caller id to show your mobile number when you call people. Was I not clear on that? lol.
For incoming it won't work, the number is obviously tied to your tmobile account so it will use your 100 minutes. That's why I said I use it only for outgoing calls and use the 100 minutes to answer incoming calls. You don't get a vonage number, so their is no call forwarding feature to take advantage of. The only incoming calls to the vonage mobile app you will get is from other people using the vonage mobile app.

I've got one month left on my Sprint contract and then I'm considering hopping ship to T-Mobile, but I want to purchase an iPhone 5 to utilize the 4G network as well. I currently have a 4S. My hope is to buy the 16GB model for $100 upfront and then an additional $20 per month on top of the $30 plan, for $50 per month. I don't need more than 100 minutes of talk and I definitely won't hit 5GB of data in one month, so this seems like a great option for me.

unfortunately, this can only be done with their new simple choice plans, which start at $50/mo for 500 mb. if you want to get on the $30 100 minute plan, you're going to need to buy the device outright.

I used to work for Vonage years ago. It was a great technology and it definitely made them stand out against the cable companies. The biggest problem with Vonage was that they couldn't compete price wise with the cable company bundles. It was cheaper to get a bundle package from the cable company for tv Internet and phone compared to just doing tv and Internet and using Vonage separately.
Yup the best thing about Vonage from my experience as an employee was that you could buy the device with, say, a New York City phone number and area code and bring it with you to Japan or Mexico. You would make wifi calls using Vonage and it would treat it like it was local domestic call. Absolutely brilliant.
I've never used the app for iOS but I imagine its similar to the windows based one they used to have called x-phone. Not sure if its standalone or if you need to go have an account.
I just switched from my Verizon account it was on my moms family plan I had the iPhone 5. I just bought an iPhone 5 tmobile off eBay new sealed for like 540$ using it now service is good here in Los Angeles and I'm using vonage like someone mentioned works good for outgoing only thing that sucks is in my car can use voice commands to call someone without using minutes. But for 30$ or less if you buy refills on eBay for your account I can really complain.
Before switching I did use a iPhone 3GS I bought for 50$ to test out the coverage. I can resell it anyways on eBay I figured. But I would make sure your area has good coverage before completely switching over.

Oh and also there isn't really a page for the 30$ plan. You basically get a phone a SIM card and go to the website to activate. Check previous posts on here someone posted steps I used.

as someone else mentioned there is no wifi calling. but even if there were, those minutes would still count against the 100.

I wondered the same thing before I switched, but when you activate your sim card it will take you to a page where you choose your prepaid plan and that's where you'll be able to select it.
Hey man, I am orange county with this $30 plan. I am using google voice and I too have found that the quality really sucks while driving. Using the iPhone as GPS while drive isn't an issue.
Don't forget it's only ten cents a minute for each additional minute. So use your minutes when traveling/unreliable areas and use talkatone when stationary. I used talkatone while doing errands and everything played out well. My friend heard me like normal. I guess it really varies but I mainly want to upgrade or at least get a midi because 5 gb isn't enough however I am going to see what 2x speed is like after I go past my 5 gb.

Try vonage. I've been using that for outgoing calls I like that it shows your number when calling someone as well. Google voice gives you a whole new number. My gf just facetimes me since it uses data anyways so far it's been ok.

If you really want to conserve your 100 minutes, when someone calls you, just tell them "I'll call you back" and load up Vonage and call them via WiFi or 4G 🙂
It is the former. If you exhaust your 100 mins for the month, it's $0.10 per min. So either keep a balance or add $10 (via *233, refill card, text, or in-store purchase) and you are good to go.
If you have a $0.00 balance and someone calls you they will be told "You are not accepting calls at this time." Likewise, if you try to make a call you'll be told you have no remaining pre-paid minutes and need to add money.
Additionally, if you set up auto-pay they will just charge you the difference based on your remaining balance. So $30 - (balance) = What they charge you for Auto-pay.
Or don't setup auto-pay. Just put $100 on the account and you're good for 3 months, with $10 balance for any month(s) where you go over.
You need an "activation kit" which you can pick up at a T-Mo store or purchase one on the T-Mo website. Once you have the activation kit go to T-mobile.com and click the "activate" button in the upper right side.
You'll then get to pick your plan. You'll want Pre-paid or Pay-as-you go. Pick the $30 5GB pre-paid plan. If you are porting from AT&T, VZW, or Sprint -- set up the T-Mo SIM card as a brand new *separate* phone number FIRST.
Then tell T-Mo afterwords that you want to port your existing phone number to your SIM card.
