Can someone tell me how much space does the Mac OS take on an rMBP? I was thinking about buying the 15inch version but it just doesn't look so nice as a rMBP13 so I have some questions:

1. is there a decrease in performance when we plug in an external monitor?
2. is the rMBP 13 coping with some games like fifa13 or some older games.
3. does putting it to the max resolution decrease performance?
4. is 300$ more worth to buy the 256 version?
5. does the early 2013 have the lg or samsung screen?

The reply I give is always what were you using before?

Were you running out of space with that number?

I had a 250 gb hard drive with about 60 gigs free, so I went 256 solid.

I can't help with everything, but I'll mention a couple things.

1. is there a decrease in performance when we plug in an external monitor?
Not that I've noticed with my 15" rMBP with a 23" Apple Cinema Display connected via DVI-MDP at the end of a Thunderbolt chain. OTOH, I don't game, so if that is a big part of your use, your mileage may vary. Also, the 15" has discrete graphics in addition to the on-chip graphics. I can't recall offhand if the 13" also has discrete graphics.

4. is 300$ more worth to buy the 256 version?
Since there is absolutely no option to add it in later, I'd say definitely yes. Max the RAM, too. I went with a 16GB/512GB setup for my 15". All my other storage is on externals.
