We know Apple and Samsung aren’t big friends. Today came out Apple wants to add the Galaxy S4 in their device list against Samsung. Apple “has concluded that it is an infringing device and accordingly intends to move for leave to add the Galaxy S4 as an infringing product.” The court case is planned by the beginning of next year. Judge Lucy Koh will have a hard case again. Apple earlier decides to stop using more and more Samsung parts.

Apple’s current list includes the Samsung Admire, Samsung Captivate Glide, Samsung Conquer 4G, Samsung Dart, Samsung Exhibit II 4G, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Samsung Galaxy Note, Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, Samsung Galaxy Note II, Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0, Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0, Samsung Galaxy Rugby Pro, Samsung Galaxy S II, Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch, Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket, Samsung Galaxy S III, Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, Samsung Illusion, Samsung Stratosphere and the Samsung Transform Ultra.

Samsung’s list includes the Apple iPhone 3G, Apple iPhone 3GS, Apple iPhone 4, Apple iPhone 4S, Apple iPhone 5, Apple iPad, Apple iPad 2, Apple iPad 3, Apple iPad 4, Apple iPad mini, Apple iPod Touch (5th generation), Apple iPod Touch (4th generation), Apple iPod Touch (3rd generation), Apple MacBook Pro, Apple iMac, Apple Mac mini, Apple Mac Pro, Apple iTunes (including iTunes Match), Apple iCloud, Apple TV (3rd generation) and the Apple TV (1st generation).

Can we also include the numerous outstanding cases Samsung have brought against Apple to add a bit of context? Both these major manufacturers are as bad as each other when it comes to suing each other and I do have to laugh at the consumers who feel they have to pick a side in order to make their product experience a little more fulfilling. I couldn't care less what these guys do in court as long as I have the choice to buy a product I enjoy using.

Yep, same old litigation. It really makes no difference who sues who, or for what, the consumer ends up paying thw price. Apple is looking a bit desperate though by including the S3, S4, and Note series carte blanche.
