General DirecTV App will not Run on Jailbroken Devices

Got the following error when I loaded the DirecTV app this afternoon.

"This app is not supported on jailbroken devices. Please connect to Apple iTunesto update or restore your device"

Thank you. Is this a constant cat and mouse game now? What I mean is that when DirecTV (or whoever else) updates their app, are we going to need a new version of xcon to bypass the jb detection?

Yes. Although, DirecTV, doesn't update their apps too often.
 
I added that repository, but I don't see 3BB2, all I see is a 37-1 which doesn't work.

EDIT: Must have had a typo, or the repository was down. Should really read those error messages Cydia popped out. Got it.And the App now works.

xCon - DirecTv not working now

Hi,

I went to DirecTv app and got the message that it doesn't work with jailbroken devices.

A few weeks ago, I updated xCon to 39~beta3. I did not update the Directv.

So it looks like this version of xCon isn't working?

Any help is much appreciated!!!

5/8 - Updating the DirecTV app (2.4.4) solved the problem!!!!

Do i need to have a directv subscription to be able to use the directv app?

Or is there a tweak to use this app compeltely free?

So you can program the DirecTV DVR that you don't own? No - you can't watch DTV for free when everyone else has to pay $30 - $100 per month (unless a friend gives you their account info I guess - but even then it's limited).

You must have a DirecTV account.

Theft is prohibited here, so there would never be a thread encouraging theft of cable/satellite TV signals

Oh, and by the way, the current version of xCon (39-beta3) still works with the May 15th update of the DirecTV app for iPhone ! 😀

where did you get that xcon? can't find. repo?
