When doing the install it stuck on "restarting" for about 10 minutes. I finally powered off and when I powered on again it finished installing.
Battery life seems the same as on Preview 1 or perhaps a touch better

I believe 7 is the "new" safari, where even in 10.8.4 safari is still 6.1.xx ?
side note, can anyone please test ( just for the sake of it ) if After Effects crashes on DP2 as well? I am expecting it will. (as the "fix" probably needs to come from adobe)
That's not an OS X update problem. The dev for Skype new to update it to support OS X Mavericks

Sorry, take my statement with a bit of caution, I could remember wrong. But my overall point was claiming safari 7 isn't new should be wrong. Anyway.
Very true, but this site's name is still MacRumors. Seems to me if they want to deprecate Mavericks and elevate iOS 7 that is there prerogative but for logic's sake they should also rename the site to iOSRumors.
What has Apple's revenue by product got to do with the classification of this news?
Developer Previews for Mountain Lion were Front Page material, although I can't recall if the Mac Blog existed back then.
yeah the contacts window opens fine until you try and start a chat. Then it crashes
1st: This is only for developers, and i doubt that 99 percent of the MacRumors.com visitors are developers.
2nd: Many users use iOS devices to view MacRumors.com. Mavericks DP2 updates are useless for them.

There are obvious new features in the iOS beta while Mavericks beta keeps us focusing on graphics performance and WiFi.

LinkedIn is now intergraded in OS X Mavericks DP2 under Internet accounts
