Suddenly, on my Mac, Safari started taking forever to load any pages at all sometimes. Firefox has no problem, neither my iPhone's Safari.
I restarted the Wifi router, and since it only helped for a short while, I put the current Safari in the trash can and downloaded a new Safari (5.1.9 for Snow Leopard - same version as I had been using).
But when I opened the new Safari, it again was taking forever to load pages, so I force quit, and eventually I had to force shut down the Mac because the rainbow ball never stopped turning.
What do you think is wrong with my Safari?
