I was hoping Apple was saving Aperture X, Logic X, iWork X and a update to Final Cut X for a special event. This way they could show everyone they are serious about professional users. Oh well. Glad they are at least still working on these.

I wonder if they screwed you audio guys like they did us the video guys with the "X" transition...

Very good news...can't wait to grab this later.

This should be the first of many new apple apps, aperture, iWork, etc...

Would love to see a native ipad app companion like this for final cut.

And this makes you sad why???

I just bought Logic Pro 9 a few months back :'(

Never understood how people get so upset when new software is released because they purchased a previous version "several months ago" I could understand if it was within a few days but ostensibly you've been benefitting from the software and just because the new version is out does not suddenly make the old version worthless. Logic Pro 9 is still a fantastic piece of software.

Great news!! Ok this may be a noob question but how does one uninstall the old version? I've used those uninstall software packages like CleanMyMac and it really had not uninstalled properly

wow, unbelievable surprise. So excited and they have integrated pitch and flex much better. Looks awesome, I'm off to read the review and then Buy it! Virtual drummer sounds silly but hey why not. Ipad control is awesome. Well done :apple:

Don't like darkened UI's.

Awesome... but honestly I hate the new trend with these dark interfaces and reversed-out letters. I've been a graphic designer for 20 years... and I hate the dark UI's. I have to squint to read everything. Adobe does this too. Not a fan.

Most likely, not. They rarely make the same humongous mistake twice.

Just the same, I'm doing a lot of looking and waiting before I jump.

People would moan if Apple were giving it away for free. Its the way of the world :)

+1. Hopefully there will be a way to reverse or tweak it.

But! That means that they might not hold back the updated rMBP for a special event with the Mac Pro and the special software. We even might just get an early morning press release sometime after the earnings call.

Wait, I don't get it - what's the difference between a virtual drummer and real drummer?

Or the old groupie joke,

"What do you call someone who hangs around with musicians?"

A drummer.

(I have the upmost respect for drummers!)

yay, and a stupid question

Perhaps a very stupid question, but anyone know how to purchase an upgrade if the original app was not bought from the App Store. I've been a LP user for 15 years and am so excited to get this upgrade!!!

I agree, drumming is a really hard job, up there with solving complex differential equations, simulating weather, image processing, managing data for millions of users...

upgrade cost is $199, same as the full version (there is no upgrade!)

Still a very good deal though
