Hello,
I am currently trying to do some magic and let SimCity 4 run on my Intel Mac.
I found a really good guide ,which should make it playable. Multithreading needs to be disabled via Xcode and Instruments.
But when I run Instruments I can only change the number of cores and "disable Multithreading" is greyed-out. So I can't change it and turn it off.
Is there any fix for this? I am using Xcode 4.3 and OS X Lion on my iMac Mid 2011 (yes, i am too lazy to upgrade to ML).
I have already found a some terminal commands, but one is "permanent" and needs a reboot every time after a change (I would like a on-the-fly) and the hwref command doesn't work (command not found).

Any ideas?
