I currently have iPad 3 with Verizon LTE for which my employer is paying, but due to position changes, I will need to turn in the iPad in few weeks.
I am looking to buy my own iPad - most likely iPad 4 so I could use the same charging cable as my phone (iPhone 5); however, I am not sure what service (Verizon or ATT) is more flexible - what I mean by flexible is I know I wont be needing the cellular service on my iPad most of the year and would only like to activate it 2-3 times a year at the most (road trips, home internet outage etc.).
Can someone please explain how the ATT and Verizon works when it comes to activating and deactivating the service? What I am looking for is basically a way to lets say activate a month of service on February, let it laps after a month, activate another month on June and let is laps and then perhaps activate another month in December and let it laps. Is that type of approach even possible?
Thank you for any information
