What's the best way of managing work plans for projects? At the moment I'm working with a table in Word, but this just isn't the best way of going about it. I don't need everyone else to edit the work plan, but I need something that is

i) well suited for this purpose
ii) provides well formatted printing options
ii) provides an output which can be easily shared with Windows users via email

I don't need a full fledged project management app - it's just a shared work plan of 'what happens when and who does what'.

Thanks.

Hi

I work in project management, but all the large software packages I use are Windows based such as MS Project, Primavera and Asta

Two possible options on Mac are

Omniplan http://www.omnigroup.com/products/omniplan/

And one I have trialled and is very similar to MS Project - Fast Trak Schedule
http://www.aecsoftware.com/project-management-software/fasttrack-schedule-mac/

They are both simple packages to run and certainly FTS has good video tutorials to get you started! And both will output to PDF for you to email, which is the standard method to pass PM data.
