I really want to switch to the tmobile $30 plan- 100 minutes, unlimited texting, 5gb data, but I can't find that option anywhere on the site. Even when I go to sim plans, it redirects me to the $50 unlimited calling, texting, 500 mb data, then $60 for 2 gb, $70 for unlimited. Are the $30 plans still offered?! Thanks!

If it is available, do you get LTE?!?! It used to advertise 4g, but LTE would make this plan a no brainer.

If that plan was real, people would be flocking to T-Mobile in droves. There would've been a catch.

$30 LTE plan? I think not!

Yes, 4G/LTE.

So for $30/month, you get 100 minutes, unlimited text and unlimited data with the first 5gb of LTE speeds? After 5gb, data will be at 3G?

What are the drawbacks of this plan?

this is the plan that I am using with my ip5 and yes I get LTE most of the time here in Houston Texas. I swapped the unlocked ip5 to a newer AWS model when I first moved back to Houston.

BTW you can always call tmobile to activate the plan or go to any walmart location where tmobile offered them.

Glad to hear you get LTE on this plan. I've been thinking about switching but the 100 minutes is low.

T-mobile & Virgin mobile offer the cheapest iPhone plans in America.

$30/mo either way, just need to choose what you value more:
  • T-mobile network with higher data speeds but 100 minutes
  • Sprint network with slower data speeds but 300 minutes
