Gmail and iOS7

Hi all,

So i know google sync services are gone and I can no longer use exchange when upgrading my phone or reinstalling the OS. No worries, I'll just give up exchange/push and go back to imap, not the end of the world...

However when I use the standard google setup option in "Mail" and put in my email address, password, etc, it doesnt work. I know my password is correct as I can log in via my mac/safari just fine.

Is google or apple having some issue with iOS7 and Gmail? Is it just me?

Thanks for the reply. Problem solved and it was all user (me) error. I had two step verification on and forgot the process to configure that is all different and requires a trip to the iMac plus a temporary google provided password.

Hopefully this post jogs the memory of someone else having this same issue. Doh!
