PS3 price drops?

Its like Just 2 months away from the ps4 launch and I was wondering if any one from past experience can tell me when to expect a price drop on ps3's , and how much of a price drop?

If i recall correctly, the ps2's were being sold for $100-150 in 2007. I looked up ps3 prices and they are around $250-270 range . I don't think i can pay that price especially when you consider that the next-gen console is $130 more.

12Gb is a joke, there are 16GB SD cards that are being sold for $10. I really doubt ps3 price will stand at $250 while PS4 is only $400 . I hope you understand that an extra $150 is going to give you 7 years in technology jump. That just does not sound right...

Haha, an SD card is a different device to an SSD. You might as well compare the fact a 16gb HDD is £5.


OP! In the run up to the holidays there will no doubt be shops selling off remaining stock or including them in good bundles. Have you considered getting a second hand console? Just be sure to buy a new controller.

I don't believe PS3 ships with an SSD.

I bought one second hand but I didn't buy a new controller. Just curious, why do you recommend a new one?

Consider how much someone else has used that controller, consider how messy they may be! Controllers (and handhelds) are quite vile inside.
