Both are on same network wifi iPhone 5S and Macbook pro 2012 model "MBPR" but I turn on airdrop on my iPhone with wifi on check to make sure mac has same wifi and then click airdrop folder in finder nothing happens? I went to the photos.app in my iPhone clicked share photos then airdrop. The airdrop icon lit up blue.

it says won't work the way I want it to. It's only useful for two iPhones so iPhone to iPhone not iPhone to mac.
