Did anybody have any problems with the new podcasts sync in iTunes?

I have podcasts favorited on the apple tv. iTunes is set to download one new episode by default.

But when I synced on iTunes without thinking about that it downloaded either one or three from each podcast depending on the podcast. I don't know why.

Then it very helpfully filled the whole 128gb ssd with podcasts or at least it said it was full.

I deleted nearly all of them manually and deleted them from the trash. I still had only 20gb left on the ssd.

I found that their was still over 10 gb in the iTunes Podcasts folders which should have been empty so I deleted those.

My music folder is 20gb bigger than it should be and there is nothing in it to account for that size.

Finder says I have used about 40gb which can't be accounted for by the size of all the stuff on the computer.

It was all ok before I synced podcasts.

It is not a big deal since I will install Mavericks fresh soon but it is a bit weird. Anybody else?
