I've got a Pioneer BD205 bluray drive in the top optical drive of my Mac Pro and I'm using Encore CS6 to author and write to JVC 6x 25GB BDRs; There is only one write speed in the build tab in Encore and that's 1x. I've updated the firmware to this drive(1.11), and I distinctly remember at one time authoring BDRs at 4x(Probably when I had CS5/5.5).

My projects are occupying only a quarter of the BDR so time isn't so much of an issue, but it's rather vexing that 1x speed is the only option. Haven't tried any other manufacturer's BD-R discs, other than a Sony BD-RE that I know was 2x(but of course showed up as 1x in Encore).

Just curious as to whether anyone here using Encore to author bluray that's able to get faster write speeds.
