Hey!

My new 2013 iMac was delivered two weeks ago and it's a real beauty.

I managed to get a great deal on Office 2011 home and business edition through work, problem is it keeps asking for the license key.

I've tried reinstalling from DVD and digital copy to no avail. I've also deleted the com.microsoft.office.licensing.plist file but the problem reoccurs after a few (anything between 5-10) reboots.

The key is correct and works, for some reason though after few reboots the key gets forgotten and has to be re-entered, it's a real pain.

Anyone come across this before?

Thanks,
Alex

Had same exact problem....called Microsoft Tech support, actually got
through in a reasonable amount of time and he walked me through
the solution to the issue. I suggest you call, the warranty is still valid!!!:)

Cool, how simple was the resolution?

Can you remember what you did?

Running Repair Permissions might help, but if you want to check individual permissions on the files that keep the licensing data see this article to identify the files.
