Data on dead phone

I hear about all these people getting wet phones and able to save them. I was not so fortunate. Mine was in water for 1sec, I didn't tun it on for 3 days, but it was dead. I've lost 6 month worth of pictures. They were not synced with iCloud since storage on iCloud is ridiculously small. Is there any way to recuperate these?
