I've put a 0.3mm/3grams beautiful Ozaki case on my Space Grey. But still, I want to rip it off and use my 5S naked. I really enjoyed my iPhone 4/4S with just a back protector and I want to have the same feeling with my 5S. But after seeing my friends iPhone 5s, it really annoys me to see the side of my phone like that.

I recommend the case for scratches though

that one from ozaki looks nice, which model is that?

That looks a lot like the Caudabe Veil: http://www.caudabe.com/collections/iphone-5-accessories/products/the-veil-wisp

Probably the same thing. Lol. Anyway, I would absolutely love to go naked - prefer it even. But I just can't get over the hump. Completely a psychological thing.

Any idea on how that case compares to the Rinke slim?

I like my rinke slim, but I think I might take it off. I'm sure once I do I will drop my phone on concrete and crack the screen.

However this time I went with the apple leather case. It's pretty nice, however you can't tell if you have a iPhone 5 or 5s with the case one. One of drawbacks I don't like.

Do you think people care what phone you have ?
Back in 2009 when I upgraded form the iPhone 3G to 3GS I never told anyone....everybody thought I was still using my old 3G.
Just enjoy your phone with a case or naked. But trust me, no one cares.
:)

yes they do!!!!!

I did purchase the Apple made leather case, but returned it due to the shipment timeframe. I am using a cheap interim at the minute from Amazon, but the build quality is fairly decent so it may last for a while removing the need for the £35 case! I do feel deterred with the whole 'appearance will change with time' on the box of the Apple leather case.

It's leather. It looks 10 times better after the patina.

I've been using my Grey Space for about a week and I'm seeing some chipping around the edges :(

This is why I took my space gray back and got the silver. I freaking loved that color but I had a feeling that it would chip just like slate, it just isn't AS BIG of an eyesore because it's a lighter shade.

My room mates space gray also has damage on the chamfered edges already, especially on the bottom edge, and he has a case on. Unfortunately it's inevitable.

I'm using the Neo Hybrid with metal slate frame on my space grey. I like the black 5, but that wasn't an option. I also was not a fan of how the naked phone slides on tables. When you think the bar is clean with no water/beer and you put the phone down it can be messy times.

I get a lot of compliments on how slim it keeps the phone. I did drop it last week and a few scuffs on the frame were all that happened. Works great but can't see the point of a case if you went with a gold one.

Where do you see chipping? I thought the edges no longer had a coating on them? Can you post a pic when you get a chance?

It's like three small dots on the edges of lower side of the phone.
I'll post some pics as soon as possible.

The leather case and bumper, both made by Apple, have been the only cases I've been able to use on my iPhone so far(and I've had every version). But even with those 2 I would end up taking them off, and am currently fighting keeping on my black leather case on the 5S. As somebody else mentioned, even the most slimmest of cases just changes the overall feel of the phone. Some people are just not used to ever using there phone naked so they are not aware of the difference- but it's def a big change.

No way. I sport a fantastic Tough Armor on my 5s. I feel jealous when others stare at it naked.

While naked may be good , keep in mind that the 5S is only anodized aluminum and any fall has the potential to seriously damage your IPhone

I'm also not using any case.I think it reduces the cuteness of my cell phone.I use my phone very carefully with a back screen protector. And it looks beautiful.

Space Grey 5S with black Apple leather case. Looks great and feels nice in the hand

I have a slight ding on the edge of my space grey too. Just noticed it today and it hasn't been bashed/dropped. I'm using it without a case but have a leather pouch.

Had my Gold 5S for 1 week. No nicks or scratches yet! Really thinking about a brown case by Apple though

No case = a terrible looking iPhone.
No case = scratches on the phone.
No case is for those who think the iPhone is "just a phone" and nothing more.

FYI, you WILL eventually drop your iphone on the concrete somewhere.

I prefer to protect my investment.

I for one am glad your not "investing" my money. Because if you consider a iPhone an investment. Well that says it all.
