I probably should have known better. I bought the first Apple iPad case for an iPad 1 and I returned it because it kept slipping out of the case. The Apple iPad Air case was a quick solution that was really light. But I'm finding this is not the only attribute that matters. The cover does not stick to the back of the iPad Air like my Apple iPad leather cover ( the back was naked except for a Zagg skin on the iPad2).
I also don't like that as I handle the iPad in the Apple iPad Air case that it feels like it could pop out. In fairness it has not.
The cover does not fold flat against the entire screen.
Finally the folding cover does not make a very steady prop using the three panels no matter how I fold it and/or any orientation I use it in.
I guess I'm willing to forego the slim form factor of the Apple iPad Air case if I can get more utility out of a third party case/folio. I'm thinking Logitech, but would like to see one in person.
