I have placed an order for a refurb 2013 15" rMBP and I'm planning on transferring (via a Carbon Copy Cloner dupe) my 2012 15" rMBP drive's contents to the new machine. The new/refurb machine will be my new home laptop and my current one will replace a 2010 13" MBP at the office and for travel.
I am wondering if I will need to do anything in Time Machine settings or to my TM external drive in order to keep continuity (i.e. not lose all my Time Machine backups) after the switch. I'm running 10.8.5 if it makes a difference. Thanks for your help!
