$1149 refurb price.

Is this a good deal or will there be a better deal sometime later for a just as good of if not better deal with the same specs? And are there any known problems with the 2012 version of the retinas etc.?

Sorry but at $1249, I was able to pick up a late '13 haswell from BB. (2.4/8/256). Just have to be patient and wait for a great deal. I even got triple points for this particular purchase which is equivalent to an $80 gift card.

That to me is what the rMBP should cost on Apple.com maybe even $1,199.

How did you manage that? Was it through online?

In-store. $200 off special and BB edu discount $50, so a total of $250 off.

I was able to purchase one earlier this year for $300 off when the educational discount was at $100.

Like I said, just be patient and bookmark BB's Mac Section. Last week for two days only, the 15" rmbp were $300 off upfront with no coupons.
