I'm getting a problem with the iPad Air where the text is still very sharp, but the display graphics have lost its screen sharpness, especially with displaying web pages in Safari, Google Chrome and Opera Coast. Is there a known issue and how can I resolve it without having to go to the extreme of doing a full system restore??

This is not a defect. This is the result of viewing the web on a hi dpi device, and visiting sites whose graphics have not been updated to account for hi dpi devices.

There is nothing you can do about it other than drop a note to the site and mention that their graphics are too low resolution for modern tablets with hi dpi screens.

Think of it like your local movie theater upgrading to a huge 500 foot screen, then showing movies that were made for a 100 foot screen. Fuzzy.

Text scales up and down as needed, that's why it appears sharp. Rasterized graphics like photos do not scale this way.
