"Other" on iPhone and iPad

Hey all

I am syncing my phone and I noticed I have 8 Gigs of "Other." Can anyone help me reduce that? That seems like an awful lot. I delete my texts at the end of every week, I have almost no reminders, barely any calendar appointments.

Also my iPad has 4 gigs. Which seems like a lot too. If I could reduce that as well I would be forever grateful.

I'm not the search police, I just don't have any links handy.

Other can be legit data (iMessage attachments, etc.). But if you used iOS 6 on them there was a bug where those attachments weren't deleted and won't be unless you do it manually (more than just deleting the conversation).

Search the forum for iBackupBot and you'll see threads with specific information on how to delete unwanted message attachments. I got rid of almost 3 GB on my phone. Thanks to the smart people who figured it out.
