Get rid of all the theming you have, it slows the phone and it also includes soubd theming.

You have different themes as well which might interfere with eachother

I don't know what that is.
I'm sure its not a tweak, (I installed all that stuff 2 years ago, and only recently started to have problems).

Here's some additional info about my problem.

When I tap on my camera app, it opens, and I can select photo or video, but after I take a photo or video, I tap on the camera roll to view it, (lower left), but it closes the camera app and goes instantly to my springboard.

When I plug my 4s into my pc or laptop, then double click my computer, I can NO longer see the iphone/portable storage device, (it used to always be there, I would highlight, then drag/drop my media into a newly created folder.

Now even though the 4s don't show up anymore in My Computer, iFunbox Classic still sees it, and I can navigate Raw File System/User/Media/DCIM, and find recently taken pics and vids, then highlight and "copy to pc" into a folder of my choosing. (so while I cannot view anything on the phone, I can still fill my available storage with pics & vids, then use iFunbox to recover them to my pc).

Here are two screen shots.
The first one shows the ridiculous numbers of pic and vids that I don't have.

The 2nd screen shot shows what I see when I tap on the "photos" icon, (not the camera icon).

If you will notice I have 884 items in my camera roll, (which is prolly correct), and I have 2 items in the Submarine folder. (and I cannot find the "submarine" folder while searching for it with iFunbox?)

Where are the real 884 items in my camera roll, (I cant find them on the phone or with iFunbox).

Where is the Submarine folder, (which contains 1 blank pic, and a blurry screen shot of the 1st page of my springboard).

Maybe that Submarine folder is screwing things up, I don't know, (why can I find it with iFunbox) ???

Someone on this site has to be able to figure this out, cause I sure can't, (and I have spent a long time trying BEFORE I asked for help on MR).

Please help me someone :(

You are aware that you are a novice in all of this?

I was referring to all the star trek theming which includes sound theming.

You have at least 4 different theming running through eachother, remove all theming from the phone, if that does not help ttry below

For the pics
Navigate to /var/mobile/media/dcim
That should give your photo location

Retrieve all and back them up on a external source

Now go to var/mobile/media/photodata

Remove: Photos.sqlite, Photos.sqlite-shm, Photos.sqlite-wal

Backup the files before deleting

Afterwards restart phone

When I was born, I was a novice at everything. :)

I was referring to all the star trek theming which includes sound theming.

That's the one theme I have been using for 2 years, (my 9yo loves all them sounds). My problems only occurred the last few months, and the theme is also still running fine.
Let me add that I will be getting rid of all the crap I no longer use, (like most of them themes)

For the pics
Navigate to /var/mobile/media/dcim
That should give your photo location

I followed that path and there is nothing there, (where the heck could those 882 pics be?)

Now go to var/mobile/media/photodata

Remove: Photos.sqlite, Photos.sqlite-shm, Photos.sqlite-wal

Backup the files before deleting

Afterwards restart phone

Should I still do this?
How should I back them up, (use ifunbox to copy the files to local?)

I appreciate your help TriJetHero, please don't give up on me :(

There should be folders in that location. You can also try the search files feature and type in "img" and click start search

edit: yes, give it a try, it should not harm anything. you can back up to your computer

Now go to var/mobile/media/photodata

Remove: Photos.sqlite, Photos.sqlite-shm, Photos.sqlite-wal

Backup the files before deleting

This is exactly how I go about retrieving current pics and vids.
There ARE folders in that location, and all 4 of them are empty, (there is a little +sign next to folders that have data in them).

The screen shots I have taken and posted today are retrieved the same way, (I am very familiar).

The folders that u guys want me to delete, they're not part of anything important?

OK, this is weird.

I open ifunbox, but instead of clicking "ifunbox classic", I click "quick toolbox".

There is camera roll, photo library, ipod music, and ipod video, ready to be exported. :D

I click on camera roll, create a folder on my local, then click save.
Lo and Behold, 2.9 gigs/892 pics and vids go flying into the new folder.
Took about 20 secs for the progress bar went from 0-100%.
I do the same with the photo library, then the ipod video, (no music on my iphone).

Finally hooray!

Nope, not so fast partner. I navigate to the folders on my local, and there is nothing in them? wtf  I watched the stuff being moved.
I repeted 2 more times, both times 892 files were copied to the selected folder, but when I go to that folder, there is nothing in it, (were is the data going)?

(any ideas what happened?)

Photos.sqlite, Photos.sqlite-shm, Photos.sqlite-wal are not folders, they're files

are you retreiving your pictures/videos via ifunbox classic tab -> camera?

I have been using ifunbox classic for 3 years.
I have searched every camera folder, media folder, etc.
Please read my post above your last, and see what u think.

Don't use the camera roll.

Use the file browser.

Very simple instruction, if you don't follow them we can't help.

Are you using the raw file browser? I know you said you've been using ifunbox for 3 years but the pictures have to be in that folder. If it's not, then the only explanation I can say is that there are no pictures/videos in your camera roll

Regardless, 20 seconds is way too fast to transfer 2.9 GB. It should take at least 2 minutes considering the flash memory's read speeds maxes out at 25 MB/s (for the iPhone 5, might be around the same or slower for previous iterations of the iPhone)

Last I heard, an iTunes sync won't ruin a jailbreak.
2 billion is an interesting number, having no meaning in anything other than decimal.
is that a 2 followed by 9 zeros?

Apple also have a weird default date that pops up here and there
when things go haywire: August 7 2010. Does that have any meaning?

It's 2^32/2-1. It's not 2 followed by 9 zeros

As in how it's printed? A billion has been two different numbers in history.
It would be interesting if it turned out to be DEADBEEF or something like that.

That's not how it's printed but that was the number being shown. Just use a calculator to do the calculations and you'll get a number close to 2.14 billion

Boring error then.

Base 16:
0x7FFFFFFF.
The limitation of the variable type that the number is stored in.
