some ship with, some without. assuming you're referring to a feature that prevents the smart cover from coming off while the back cover is on.

The Incipio SmartFeather is really a good option, but hasn't been updated for the Retina Mini.

Have you found one that you like? I've only come across the I-blason (http://www.amazon.com/i-BLASON-Disp...&sr=8-2-fkmr0&keywords=I-blasts+retina+anchor) but I think I'd much prefer tpu over hard shell.

I have the iBlason with anchor lock for my Air and love it.
