First Mac Pro Unboxing Videos Revealed

With the first review units of the Mac Pro in the wild, FCP.co has posted an actual unboxing video of the device.

The Mac Pro, which is assembled and packaged in Austin, Texas, comes in a sleek black box with a plastic handle at the top. Inside, there is minimalist, environmentally friendly molded foam with the aluminum Mac Pro wrapped in plastic for protection.

Several reviewers have commented on the surprising density of the Mac Pro, saying it is heavier than they expected.

Update: MacFormat also has a 15-minute video showing the unboxing and providing an overview of the machine.

Great! The video has so many subtle messages. I'm sure the hardware is ideal for Windows 8.1 and Linux.

Toward the end of the video when he was palming the Mac Pro, his hand looked a little shaky at one or two points. I was thinking, "please, please don't drop that expensive piece of hardware!"

Narrator reminds me of the police officer off of Austin Powers who returns all of Austin's belongings. Haha

I didn't see anything. I was distracted by that hideous shirt. What was that video about?

I was strongly reminded of James May from Top Gear.

Apple is well known for minimalist packaging these days. What did you expect? Diamond encrusted disposable shrink-wrap?

Windows 8.1 and Linux are the superior OSs on the Mac hw. By comparison, OS X is just a useless toy.

Windows 8.1 and Linux certainly are suitable for a "trash can."

I genuinely loved the mac pro form factor,
won't move it around, but the thought of something powerful that is also somewhat portable, really intrigues me.

Almost more comments from the fashion police than the actual product. Get over his shirt for God's sake.

Plastic Handle

I just love they included a plastic handle on the packaging. Not really that minimalistic anyway a great piece of hardware would love to shake it a bit
