Specs first: First gen rMBP
Core: i7 2.7ghz 3820qm
GPU: GT650M (OC to +135core and +450 to memory)
RAM: 16GB(too much i think)

The experience I have on it was playable. I got around 35-50 FPS when playing on 1920x1200 with no AA, scaling was 100% with some high and medium details.

When playing with full res(2880X1800) on low I got about 15-27 FPS.

So my question is that how are you guy's experience on play BF4 on a rMBP? Share your thoughts bellow, and also can someone comment on my performance above, is it good?

I don't bother over clocking the 2GB GT750M on my rMBP :) I get around 40-55 fps at 1680x1050, with a range of medium to high settings, no AA.

But it heats up real fast and I usually just play for 15 minutes before quitting.

I play BF4 mainly on my 27" iMac with 4GB GTX780M. Around 40-50fps at 2560x1440 with mostly high settings and no AA.

I play 1920x1080 on my late 2013 rMBP and get decent frame rates for multiplayer.. here's the video settings I use.. even though the settings are mostly low still looks pretty good and runs great..

Using a late 2013, 2.3GHz i7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, 2GB 750M.
Usually play at 1680x1050 on high getting around 45FPS, using FXAA instead of MSAA. Perfectly playable for long periods but the system does get very hot.

Mainly play BF4 on my PS4 now since I got it on the 22nd Nov. Use my rMBP for World of Tanks :p. - The ultimate gaming solution :D

Also one thing I noticed while playing and using GPU-z was around 1.8 out of 2GB of the VRAM was being used, so maybe the 750M will have a bit of an edge over the 650M.

Slightly off topic. I own the top spec late 2013 Macbook Pro retina 15 inch. I do not game on computers but I bought this machine just incase I wanted too in the future. I do want to play Battlefield 4 on my rMBP but I do not like to use the keyboard. So can you play this game with a PS4 controller? I have looked up and saw that there are some games you can play but have found no info on if this game or Call of Duty Ghost can use a PS4 (or PS3) controller. I would love to start gaming on my laptop if I could use a PS4 remote control for these games. I spend 10+ hours a day at my job and I get free time through out the day so I would love to play those games to kill a little time when I can. Any info would be great and if you can use a Controller how is the gameplay? Does it lag or is it responsive? To me this would be the perfect way to play a few casual games. Thanks again.

I play Battlefield 4 with an Xbox 360 controller and it works fine. I do not know if you can do so with a PS3 one sorry.

750M model with Windows Server (free) on the bootcamp partition. Throttlestop at 22X.

1680X1050

I have textures set to high. Most other settings at medium (incl texture filtering).

No anti aliasing post or deferred.

Ambient Occlusion is turned off.

The game runs at 50-60 FPS. Drops to 30+FPS at killcam. Was a little more playable before the server side updates in December than my PC. Now I mostly play on my PC, but the MBP would easily prove its awesomeness during a LAN party.

I know you can connect a PS3 controller to the Mac and it recognizes it via USB or Bluetooth without any extra drivers. Not sure if it would work with BF4, but I don't see why not.

How did you do that?

You plug your controller in. No drivers IF you are using wired, if you are using the wireless you need to install a simple driver off of Microsoft's website because the device needs to know theres a wireless receiver.
