Ipad app streaming to tv?

Hi everybody,

I having a question.
I am having an ipad wich i wish to mirroring ( thats how they call it right?)
To my tv. So i can view my iad display on my tv. But what CAN you mirroring excactly with this apple tv?

The only thing i wish to do is this.

I stream my movies from a website. Full hd.
CAN this also been watched on my tv through appletv? This because they told me you can mirror your websites, and watching my movies is done through a website, but movies contain alot of data. So is it possible?
