Hi everyone,
First post here after several days of difficulties with Finder on 10.7.5 Lion. Basically, when I click on Finder in the dock or try to open the trash, it causes the cursor to do the spinning color wheel for about thirty seconds and then goes back to normal but no Finder window opens. No error/warning messages appear either.
The same problem persists in Safe Boot Mode. I've deleted the Finder .plist file as well in Terminal and that has not helped. I also have run the Repair Preferences and Verify/Repair Disk in Disk Utility, as well as putting killall Finder in Terminal and quitting it with Activity Manager. Still doesn't work.
From what I see online, this is a fairly common problem, but yet a fairly universal solution doesn't seem to exist. Any help/ideas? I'll buy you a drink.
