Several months ago I created the Favorite Beer Thread and I've decided to expand on this idea and start a "Favorite Cocktail Recipe Thread". Why not spread the "joy" and share your recipe.

So what's your favorite cocktail, and how do we make it?

For me, it's plain and simple. Double Iced Jameson, Neat.

Recipe

- Pour 2oz of Jameson Irish Whisky into a shaker
- Add two to three large pieces of ice to minimize melt off
- Shake for approximately 10 seconds to thoroughly chill
- Strain ice and pour neatly into a rocks glass
- Enjoy

Zen
2 parts Hendrick's
1 part good-grade Sake
Wash the rocks with dry vermouth
Muddle with a slice of cucumber

Serve in a cocktail glass; optionally garnish w a strip of lime zest.

...but most of the time, it's double Sapphire or a Single Malt.

I used to drink it on the rocks all the time, but I hated the watering down if I didn't drink it fast enough.

Cheers!

Sake isn't nearly as common as other liquors, but a Ginjo is best, which is a bit more delicate than many others. Try Chokaisan Junmai..
