Would a better alternative to Google Glass be without the camera?

I was looking at all the mockups and protest to Google Glass and was thinking of the best solution to everything having Glass without a camera or at least a LED light (correct me if it already has this) to show that the glass is recording.

I think they look like a really good product, especially for people who already wear glasses however the constant battle with privacy will be an issue.

I think it's an interesting product.. but the privacy concerns are very real and those that say otherwise are just sticking their heads in the sand. The idea of making it much more obvious when the device is using the camera or even flat out removing the camera would take away most problems people have with Glass.
