Apple Releases iOS 7.0.5 for iPhone 5s/5c With Fix for Network Provisioning in China

Apple today released iOS 7.0.5 for the iPhone with a minor maintenance update to correct network provisioning in China for some iPhone 5s and 5c models sold in China, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Customers receiving iOS 7.0.5 outside of China will likely see no benefit from the update as it is designed to correct network provisioning within the country.

The update, which arrives as Build 11B601, is only available for some models of the iPhone 5s and 5c sold in China and some European/Asia Pacific iPhone models compatible with China's networks (those that are identified as iPhone 5,4 and 6,2):

iPhone 5s
A1457 (UK/Europe)
A1528 (China)
A1530 (Asia Pacific)

iPhone 5c
A1507 (UK/Europe)
A1526 (China)
A1529 (Asia Pacific)

The update comes more than two months after the release of iOS 7.0.4, which included additional bug fixes and a repair for an issue that caused FaceTime calls to fail for some users.

Question of the day, will 7.0.5 fix the INCREDIBLY slow image import problems using a memory card reader with iPad? The sad, sad situation under 7.0.4 (including video):

Edit: Only available for some models of 5S and 5C. Got it! I'm out of luck! China gets bug fixes and we have to suffer along with 7.0.4 for a bit longer.

Mark

Corrects network provisioning for some users in China, in UK? They should probably give out location specific feature details..

Does it fix the iTunes Match bug where every time I unlock my phone, my music skips back 10 - 30 seconds?

In iOS 6, if I saw a release with just "bug fixes", I wouldn't care. In iOS 7, the occasion calls for a fiesta!

Article starts by saying that 7.0.5 has been released for "iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch." It then goes on to say it only applies to certain iPhone models (and perhaps obly in China). Should remove mention of iPad and iPod touch if this is the case.

If it has the fixes for the jailbreak in, and is 'available' worldwide meaning you cannot restore back to 7.0.4. Then no, it is not a 'non story from MR'.

I think you're getting .5 confused with .4.

.4 had the bug fixes, this just has some provisioning fix for people in China.

Still no bug fixes for the obvious crashes from Apples own onboard apps.
