I have an Elgato H264 HD with the hardware dongle and use it mainly to rip my dvd's and convert them to m4v and add them my iTunes library. This has been working well, but now that I have added several blu-ray titles to my library the little guy has a hard time, like 2+ hours to convert a single title. Checking with Elgato shows they do not offer the hardware dongle any more, only the software.
Trying to use handbrake on a blu-ray title takes even longer on my Air 6,1 with 1.7 - i7.
Is there anything out there that is similar to the Elgato hardware but is faster?
