I have an iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 out of contract on AT&T. Looking to go for the cheapest pre-pay version. Do not need data. Any suggestions?

Republic Wireless looked good, but can't take my iPhone there (only their Moto X).

$35 -> T-Mobile, unlimited talk and text. Of course your iPhone would need to be unlocked.

U are looking for MVNOs (resellers).

If u are happy with ATT's coverage, stick with an AT&T MVNO. Search or Google.

Ultra low usage folks benefit with Pay-as-u-go (metered) plans.

Go with H2O Wireless $30 plan, Unlimited Talk + Text + 500MB Data....best of all worlds

GoSmart is a good deal. They are owned by T-Mobile. $35/month unlimited call+text+data (2G speeds). For an extra $10 per month the speeds will be 3G.
I got a SIM off ebay that reduced the first month by $10. Most other providers it seemed like you had to buy a SIM or pay extra for the first month, so I thought that was a good deal as well.

So no data at all? Can you just walk into a tmobile store with your unlocked gsm model and activate it or can you but this at a local walmart store as well?

It doesn't seem to show up on walmart's site, just the $30 plan. You could probably activate by calling up T-Mobile's prepaid division.

35orless (T-Mo MVNO) should also work. Supposedly, you pay maximum of $35/mo.

I always thought you could buy unlocked iPhone and use it with any GSP carrier. Since a lot of pre-paid carriers use GSM it's your choice really. I sell my iphone with contract long time ago and use pre-paid. It already saved me a lot of money.

Going with T-Mobile

This ended up being the best deal I could find. For 2 iPhones with unlimted talk, text, and web (throttled after 500MB) after all is said and done (taxes, fees, discounts) the bill will be under $70 a month.... !!!! Plus I found a promotion for $100 for each line activated.

I know some can't handle that data deal, but my wife and mother-in-law will have no issues with that. Almost everything they do is on Wi-Fi.

We use AT&T's GoPhone service for my daughter's iPhone 4. Talk and text only, $25/mo pre-taxes. The minutes aren't high - 250 I think - but she hardly talks anyway, mostly texts and uses facetime over wifi. No data required, and she gets AT&T's service (and also still works on a Microcell).

Well the best deal is TMO prepaid by the minute. The cheapest way to do it is by $100 worth of time which gets you 1000 minutes and is good for 1 year. Texts are 10 cents. If they use iMessage mostly and don't talk much then this plan can't be beat.
