Just upgraded to it and I'm finding the new "cluster" layout a bit frustrating.

Under Lion and Compressor 3.5 (or up to 4.07) I could select as many as 8 cores on my machine (not that I ever would, I usually just picked 3) which would give me six threads to process a clip with.

Under 4.1 I'm limited to the default plus one additional core, so I only have four threads. Core activity is fairly low under this new layout; whereas before it would fly though (I've used a same batch of files I converted last week and it's taking considerably longer).

Found this too: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6097

My machine is essentially behaving like a dual core machine under the old layout, and if this is Apple's attempt to reduce the strain on my machine so I can do something else it's not needed as this MacBook Pro's primary job in life is just compressor processing!

Anyone else finding the same 'issue'?
