Hi All. Today I meet with a lady to purchase her ipad rMini. This is her first (last) Apple device as she wasn't comfortable with it. Not being very familiar with idevices myself either, what do we need to do upon this sale? I understand she'll need to restore the device back to factory settings, which I can help her with if she hasn't done it yet. My question is what needs to be done for the warranty to be transferred to me? Does she need to log online and unregister the device? Also, is there anything else that needs to be done? Thanks in advance!

The key non obvious thing is to make sure 'find my ipad' is turned off before you take possession. Settings > General > iCloud. The rest is software you can replace and hardware you can't.

Not sure on the warranty, but ask if she bought AppleCare and / or registered it.
