Here are the facts:
-wireless icon not showing, in wireless settings it shows generally as connected, sometimes loses connection. This is my home connection, where it has never had a problem before.
-internet on phone doesn't work when on wireless only. 3G works o.k.
-I cannot ping other computers on network from phone (using a net utility app)
-I can ping the phone, or at least the phone's ip address. I was thinking a duplicate ip address on the network might be a problem, but can't find another device with that ip address. IP address, net mask, router, consistent with network settings.
-tried a hard reset by pressing both sleep and home buttons. No joy.
-can't seem to change the phone's ip address maually (it seems to be set on static ip). I enter a new value but when I press return it changes to the old ip address.
