I am new to this and hoping someone here can help me....I have a bunch of HD videos from my canon video camera that were on my old Dell. I recently switched to a MAC and put them all on a flash drive to transfer to my Mac. They all show up as .MTS files. I have been converting them to .mov files using iSkysoft. I used the HD setting, but I am still losing quality when I move them into iMovie. Is there anything I can do to retain the quality of these clips?

You could try the following two methods involving free applications to get editable or playable video files from .MTS files.

Geranium, I know you want to advertise your application, but once is enough, even as VENDOR.

And to be honest, it looks like just any of the other free converters out there, but then again, it seems to be a hot market and differentiation is nothing to be aiming for.
