I would like to make a partition on my 250gb SSD with Windows 8 w/ Boot Camp for a couple of months.

When I am done with W8, will I be able to free up the space for my original partition once again?

You can use "BootCampAssistant" to create your Windows partition ... and the same program can be used to delete the Windows partition and restore your SSD back as it was when you are done. Very easy!

yes open disk utility, click your drive on the left and click the partition tab

you can click on the Bootcamp partition and hit the (minus) it will confirm deletion once its deleted you can drap the bottom corner of the OSX parition to reclaim the space and than hit apply and you will be back to 1 parition
