It's not the 7.1 I was hoping for but any kind of update to iOS 7 excites me... a little.

I'll admit, my weakness is networking stuff. Will this fix my iPad constantly losing its internet connection despite a stable wifi network, requiring me to put it in and out of airplane mode to get it working again? It's damn near constant and completely unacceptable...And all apple support has been able to tell me is "Try restoring iOS".

Are you referring to Safari and the App Store crashing ? If yes, that's no longer [ very..very rare ] an issue with 7.1 B5

Exactly what I'm referring to. It's happening at least once a day and is becoming rather annoying.

Sarcastic. The update has been out for 5 whole minutes. It would be impossible to judge that battery life is doubled in 5 minutes, unless of course said battery life is normally only 2.5 minutes.

I think it's telling that iOS 7 has needed 6 ".0.x" releases.

That Apple will fix bugs and issues rather than just ignoring them? Yea, just awful:rolleyes:. They even supported iOS 6 with an update to fix the flaw for devices that are FIVE years old now. Thats just terrific, you won't a single competitor supporting legacy phones like this.

I guess some people on here haven't been around long enough to remember what it was like in the OSX 10.0 days. 10.0 was literally like a beta. Very unfinished. 10.1 was like what 10.0 should have been, and it wasn't until 10.3 where OSX really started shaping up.

I'd say iOS 7 is infinitely more polished than 10.0 was. Not even counting the fact that they also transitioned to 64-bit overnight issue-free. Again, if we look at the OSX transition to 64-bit, it wasn't nearly as rapid, and it didn't come at the same time as an entire OS remake.

This is further proof 7.1 is a ways off. Looks like it will indeed be sometime in March.

We were all hoping sooner

I never experienced any issues with SSL connections, but I will take the fix just in case. Can anyone explain what the symptom was for this issue?

thanks!
I believe there was just some issues with properly connecting to SSL connections - being refused or not connecting safely.

Why ways off? Seems like they can still release it in a couple of weeks or so as has been the expectation by most for at least a little while now.

Have you tried reinstalling it (after setting the date back on the phone)?

Touch ID Wonkiness

Still waiting for Apple to address random wonkiness of Touch ID. Once in awhile it just doesn't want to work.
