Downgading an original iphone from 3.1.3 to 1.1.4

Does this work still?

"i have downgraded my iPhone 2g to 1.1.4. and here is how i did it:

First you can use itunes 10 for downgrade 3.1.3 to 3.0 then use itunes 8 for downgrade 3.0 to 2.2 then use itunes 7.5 for downgrade 2.2 to 1.1.4"

Will all the old itunes versions mess up my current iphone 5 on iOS 7 as well?

Has anyone done this recently? :)

I tried once to downgrade in ipod touch 1g to ios 1.1.4 and it messed up my pc so bad that I ended up reinstalling the windows. Don't, just don't, leave that antique thing as it is and slowly walk away.;)

I'd like to try this. I have an old PC that's not being used for anything that I'm not worried about installing different iTunes versions on. Is there any links to resources to do this?

I think it would be cool to see my original iPhone rocking the original OS.
