HELP iPhone 5C

I just got a 5C from a friend to fix, its not water damaged and there is no sign of the screen being damaged although I think it might be. It won't turn on but when I hold he power button the back-light lights up and goes off when I let go. When I plug the charger in nothing happens at all, no vibrate and no light.

Any ideas?
