move single home folders separately

hi guys, i got NAS that syncs folder immediately and putted all my home folders there but those folder i use with lot of trash (downloads and desktop) are melting my spare space in the hdd

is there way to move single folders (documents, photos, movies) to another locations?

if symbolic link is the answer, should i move everything back and make a symlink to the shared folder right?
